Designed for read-heavy enterprise workloads, it delivers sustained read performance suited to general-purpose data storage, web serving, virtualization hosts, and caching applications where read access dominates write cycles.
With a 6G SATA interface, the drive fits standard SATA 6Gbps bays in 2.5-inch drive cages commonly found in single- and multi-bay enterprise servers. It is a non-encrypting (no SED) model, making it a straightforward choice for environments where hardware-based self-encryption is not required. As a read-intensive (RI) variant, it is optimized for workloads that read far more than they write; for write-heavy or mixed-use deployments, a mixed-use or write-intensive tier would be more appropriate.
