Overview |
The IBM® TotalStorage® Silo Compatible Tape Drive Frame 3592 Model C20 (3592 C20 frame) supports the IBM TotalStorage Enterprise Tape Drive 3592 Model J1A (3592 J1A tape drive) in a StorageTek 9310 silo. The 3592 J1A tape drive is designed to provide high performance and capacity to support consolidation and help reduce ressource requirements. Dense packaging The 3592 C20 frame can hold up to twenty 3592 J1A drives. This is five times the number of tape drives previously supported in an IBM silo compatible frame. The 3592 C20 frame also provides redundant line cords and power supplies which can help improve availability. In addition, environmental and maintenance costs can potentially be reduced along with reductions in floor-space requirements. |
